Compensation: $225,000 - $300,000 Total
About the Firm: Our client is a leading private credit firm with a strong focus on providing innovative capital solutions and restructuring services. They are looking to expand their Special Situations team with talented individuals who have a background in restructuring or capital solutions.
Position Overview: Our client is seeking an Associate to join their Special Situations team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in restructuring or capital solutions, with a strong analytical skill set and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-impact deals, contributing to the firm's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities in distressed and special situations.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including modeling and valuation of potential investments.
- Support the structuring and negotiation of deal terms, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment strategy.
- Monitor and manage portfolio investments, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all transactions meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including distressed companies, advisors, and industry experts.
- Contribute to the development of investment strategies and processes within the Special Situations team.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in restructuring, capital solutions, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in distressed investing or special situations.
- Background in buyside roles or advisory positions in restructuring or capital solutions.
- Familiarity with legal documentation related to restructuring and distressed investments.
