A leading European trading house is looking for a talented individual to join their proprietary trading desk. The successful candidate will be trading Power and related commodities across the curve on continental hubs whilst being based in London. The individual will also implement strategy to successfully make an impression on the market. They will have a proven track record of running a profitable book and will have a full understanding of the continental markets.
Responsibilities:
- Development of a profitable trading book through propriety trading; along the curve and short term.
- Work with the wider trading team to implement trading strategy and grow the trading house's market presence.
- Evaluate the risk involved in trading activity and make appropriate trading decisions, including application of hedging strategies
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of Continental Power, Gas and Co2 trading, focusing on central/western European markets.
- Previous experience trading/sharing a profitable Power book.
- Ideally 3+ Years cross-commodity Trading experience.
