Director of SEO:
Compensation: $160k-$190K Base
As the Director of SEO you will be responsible for:
- Conduct periodic SEO evaluations of our website and content, and make necessary adjustments to HTML and content.
- Develop and implement a strategy for acquiring backlinks.
- Set targeting criteria for paid search campaigns, including bid strategy and ad timing.
- Measure and track the ROI of various SEO and SEM channels using relevant metrics.
- Shape the company's marketing plan, including strategic decisions about agencies.
- Compare sales figures with the marketing budget.
- Study competitors and their SEO / SEM tactics.
- Work with executives to decide on the budget, branding, and direction of the company.
- Build and sustain a successful brand and image.
The Director of SEO should have the following qualifications:
- Background in the financial market data industry, or marketing an API product for developers.
- Skills in creating effective SEO and SEM campaigns, including writing ad copy, finding profitable keywords, and generating backlinks.
- Familiarity with CRMs like Hubspot, and SEO metrics, growth metrics, and content analytics.
- Experience with programmatic SEO.
- A passion for working at a fast-growing fintech startup as the first SEO hire.
