As an FPGA Engineer at Selby Jennings, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and verifying FPGA-based solutions that power high-frequency trading systems and other critical applications in the capital market. You will work with a talented team of engineers and professionals to develop and maintain FPGA hardware and verification processes to ensure the reliability and performance of our financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
FPGA Development: Design, implement, and optimize FPGA-based solutions that meet the high-performance and low-latency requirements of capital market applications.
Verification: Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans, including simulation, formal verification, and hardware testing, to ensure the correctness and reliability of FPGA designs.
Optimization: Continuously improve and optimize FPGA designs for performance, power efficiency, and resource utilization.
Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, quant analysts, and traders to understand system requirements and develop FPGA solutions that align with business goals.
Performance Analysis: Analyze and diagnose performance bottlenecks in FPGA designs and implement solutions for improvement.
Documentation: Create and maintain design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and verification reports.
Compliance: Ensure FPGA designs comply with industry regulations, standards, and security protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an FPGA Engineer with a strong track record of designing and implementing FPGA solutions.
- Expertise in FPGA design languages and tools (VHDL or Verilog).
- Solid experience in FPGA verification methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with high-frequency trading and capital market operations is a significant advantage.
