Selby Jennings are currently representing an exciting $4 billion in AUM start up asset manager, who specialise in credit and equities. They are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the first Investor Relations seat here in London, being supported by the global head of IR in New York.
Specific duties will include:
- Relationship management for certain clients and assisting with the management of larger client relationships; this will include regular interaction with clients and prospects via phone and email to answer questions and respond to information requests - both proactive and reactive
- The role will focus on supporting the multi-portfolio manager hedge fund sales effort in EMEA working closely with senior sales team members as well as the broader firm
- Cooperate regularly with other Investor Relations professionals, including team leaders for Branding, Client Administration, Reporting and RFPs. It is expected this position will also interact with senior members of the firm outside the department
- Addressing due diligence and ad hoc requests both individually and with the assistance of the broader IR team
- Project managing and providing support for specialised meeting materials
- Assist in prospect development by preparing intelligence using market resources and various databases as well as organising and supporting prospective investor road shows
- Provide support for the client relationship management system to track clients, opportunities, and correspondence
- Hosting on site client and prospective investor meetings
- Special projects and ad hoc requests
Qualifications:
- Looking for prior relevant industry experience (e.g., investor relations/client service role, sales support experience, RFP/marketing role or equivalent)
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
- Strong background using Microsoft Office suite and experience using a CRM system, preferably Salesforce, and Bloomberg
- Familiarity with financial markets and hedge fund strategies
- Self-starter with an appetite for knowledge and learning and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, collaborate internally, and follow-up on requests
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Willingness and track record (preferred) working in a satellite office where many colleagues (including those you will work most closely to) will be in other locations and time zones
