Company Summary:
A top card issuing bank is looking to expand their risk analytics division. They are in search of a lead credit risk strategist with a strong background in consumer lending (preferably credit cards) on the 2LOD. This role would require an individual with a highly technical background who has experience with working second line of defenses and analyzing risk policies including credit acquisitions and analyzing profit and loss statements. The ideal candidate is proficient using SQL, SAS, Excel, and other query tools. A minimum of 3-5 years working in a credit risk role is required. Responsibilities:
- Monitoring credit performance to identify present and future credit risks
- Identifying key areas of opportunities and threats in acquisitions program and work with 1LOD to address it
- Checking and challenging strategy proposals formulated by 1LOD to ensure they are sound and meet the hurdles
- Performing statistical analysis and utilize knowledge of analytical skills to analyze
- Evaluating data using statistical analysis techniques such as CHAID Decision Trees, optimization procedures, loss forecasting, enhanced process monitoring, and data quality analysis
- Producing robust documentation to ensure replicability of results and fulfill governance requirements
- Providing project specific leadership in evaluating existing third-party data sources, partner data, and new data sources and incorporating them in credit risk management processes
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in quantitative discipline required (ex. Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Five plus years analytical or equivalent experience required
- Proficiency with analytical software (e.g. SAS), SQL tools (e.g., Oracle), Unix platforms, Knowledge Seeker, and MS Office required
