The role will involve the following:
- Being actively involved in assisting in the structuring and underwriting of new deals
- Identifying solutions for a wide array of clients and working toward increasing your ownership of these relationships
- Lead the credit underwriting process and also participate in the due diligence for each respective process.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials by performing industry research
- Preparing written credit analysis for new and existing transactions
- Working closely with the investment banking division at the firm to develop models for each transaction
- Monitor and train analyst level corporate banking professionals
Desired Skills/Requirements:
- Direct Corporate banking experience of 2 years or more
- Must have Metals & Mining or Natural Resources exposure
- Formal credit training and strong financial modeling skills
- Strong knowledge of Corporate banking and capital markets products
- Prior experience with structuring complex transactions
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, & Powerpoint
- Undergraduate degree in the field of finance, economics or accounting a plus, but not essential
- Team player, self-starter and mentorship ability for junior level professionals
- Strong communication skills and able to work with tight deadlines
- Must hold right to work in the UK
