Job Summary:
The client I am working with is looking for a product operator who would be responsible for scheduling/deliver of biofuels and other light products by pipeline and marine transportation. This position will support traders and work closely with clients and terminals to coordinate proper movement of shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling biofuels and other light commodity products and coordinate all required movements
- Monitor inventories at terminals and refineries daily and adjust logistics schedule to avoid shortages and the use of excess working capital
- Develop improved scheduling methods to efficiently utilize company resources, optimize inventory levels, and minimize transportation costs
- Coordinate communications between terminals, risk, marketing, exchange and product Quality regarding any inventory or operational issue
- Accurately capture transaction into UNIPEC System and create contract per traders' recap
- Resolves issues with respect to all operational claims/documents
- Provide backup to other operators and interact/coordinate with our internal groups/companies to complete all required tasks
- Prepares and reconciles invoices as necessary
- Partners and collaborates with our back office to positively manage the settlements process with third parties
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well without supervision and self-starter
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or economics
- Three or more years of commodities scheduling and relevant industry experience
- Refinery planning and/or operations experience is an asset
- Three or more years of waterborne scheduling experience
