About the Role:
As a Relationship Manager - VP in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing relationships with key clients, including banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and other financial institutions. You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, executing strategic initiatives, and delivering comprehensive banking solutions tailored to our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Client Relationships: Build, maintain, and expand relationships with a portfolio of FIG clients. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, providing them with expert advice and innovative solutions to achieve their financial objectives.
- Drive Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and drive client acquisition efforts. Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue growth and deepen client engagement.
- Deliver Tailored Solutions: Collaborate with product teams to deliver a full range of corporate banking products and services, including lending, cash management, trade finance, and capital markets solutions, tailored to the needs of FIG clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including credit risk, compliance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of transactions and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Market and Industry Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes within the FIG sector to provide clients with strategic insights and advice.
- Risk Management: Monitor and manage the risk profile of the client portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- 4-8 Years' Experience in Corporate Banking, FIG: Strong background in Corporate Banking with at least 5-7 years of experience focused on the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) sector. You should have a solid understanding of the FIG landscape, client needs, and regulatory environment.
- Experience in NBFI sector, such as Insurance, is highly preferred.
- Proven Relationship Management Skills: Experience managing relationships with FIG clients, with a track record of successfully driving business growth, client satisfaction, and retention.
- Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Dutch/German is a significant advantage, given the importance of local market knowledge and client interaction.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinker: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex financial products and propose strategic solutions to clients.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualifications such as CFA, or equivalent, would be an advantage.
