We have a current opportunity for a Senior Property Facultative Underwriter on a permanent basis. The position will be hybrid based in Miami, Florida.
Evaluate and underwrite property insurance policies for reinsurance. Set terms, conditions, and pricing within the Latin America & Caribbean region. Mentor junior underwriters, stay updated on industry trends, and enhance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Review and assess property insurance policies for reinsurance.
- Analyze risks and determine coverage terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with teams, brokers, clients and provide technical guidance.
- Stay informed about industry changes and contribute to improvements.
- Mentor junior staff and support strategic initiatives.
- Monitor rates, aggregates, PML & AIR
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years insurance underwriting experience in Latin America
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be fluent in English & Spanish
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Leadership abilities and adaptability.
- Professional designations like CPCU a plus.
