Title: Senior IT/Infrastructure Project Manager (technical pm)
Salary: 150,000-170,000k base + bonus and full benefits
Work Model: Located in Jersey City, hybrid model (3 days in person 2 days WFH)
Summary: A large and well-known investment bank and financial services firm is looking for a Proj. Manager (PM) focused on infrastructure projects to join their company. The firm is headquartered in France and has an international presence in more than 60 countries. They are also a mission-oriented firm that has a focus on sustainability.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years' experience as a technology focused Business Analyst, 5 or more years' experience as an IT project manager in a broad range of infrastructure related projects, including network, server and database solution deployments
- Strong budget/financial management and analysis skills
- Proficiency in business applications, data usage, and management and their infrastructures
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences, as appropriate
- Background in technology, such as Linux, Microsoft Server, networking and middleware, with the ability to coordinate with subject matter experts amongst the teams
- MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint min of 5 years of experience required
- Technology SDLC/PDLC Process, project planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and project change strategies
- Schedule Management - Understanding of how to create, manage and understand impacts to project scope, constraints, and schedule. Manages projects according to work plan. Performs critical path analysis
- Integration Management - Understands how to identify and manage project and program interdependencies
Responsibilities:
- Take complete accountability and guide all projects proposals under ownership through the business analysis lifecycle to achieve successful implementation of projects with the level of quality required
- Work closely with sponsors to understand and translate business expectations into actionable technology solutions
- Perform high-level technical and data analysis of proposed initiatives to identify requirements, propose solutions and justify their implementations
- Assist management in directing efforts for the development, preparation, assessment, recommendation, and justification of major infrastructure projects
- Prepare and contribute to project deliverables: project charter, requirements, project plans, resource and investment plans, financial plans, business cases, risk analysis, designs, diagrams, project submissions, KPI's, etc.
- Present and justify project proposals to stakeholders, sponsors and decision makers
- Manages and maintains the project work plan, schedule, risk / issues, and documentation utilizing project management tools and techniques
- Proactively manages performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality and other key project management activities
- Contribute to maintaining relationships with the business, application managers, infrastructure management, and peers
- Responsible for the end-to-end integration of various work streams in order to deliver the intended project solution
