Responsibilities
- Manage business processes to achieve agreed financial outcomes for sales, revenue and
- Develop a New Markets / Products Business Plan with a five year time horizon.
- Develop an annual budget flowing from Year 1 of the business plan.
- Build comprehensive knowledge of the markets, customers, competitors, suppliers and logistic channels in the target regions to inform the market entry model.
- Establish strong regional relationships with agents, domestic logistics providers, import facilitators.
- Hunt new customers in target regions on which to base and build our market presence.
- Design and deploy the most appropriate supply chain solution that minimises both the cost and risk - including brand, reputation and IP and maximises growth and value by leveraging our global supply footprint for ball sourcing.
- Develop the short to medium term market entry/channel strategy and business model proposal for approval by the governing steering committee
- Prepare the business case for long term direct investment into target markets.
- Create and deploy targeted customer value propositions for our target markets
- Once established, professionally manage the new customer relationship including debtor management, export/import documentation, supplier and customer contracts, working capital, quality systems and customer complaint resolution and corrective action close out.
- Oversee the contribution to the management of the Intellectual Property and Standards related to the products.
Requirements
- Commodity trading background
- Commercial B2B sales experience
- Mining or industrial products sector experience.
- 10 - 15 years relevant post graduate experience
- Business development particularly in developing markets / economies
- Strategy execution and systems development and execution
- Budgeting and business planning
- International supply chain and logistics
- Ability to identify and understand key drivers in a complex commercial environment
- Financial evaluation, financial modelling and business case preparation
