What You'll Be Doing…
- Risk Assessment: Analyzing data and using tools (e.g., medical records, prescription databases, credit ratings) to evaluate life insurance applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the company's underwriting policies.
- Knowledge Development: Seeking out educational opportunities and engaging in both formal and informal learning to continuously improve underwriting skills and expertise.
- Communication: Coordinating with internal and external parties to gather information and explain underwriting decisions, while building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Training and Leadership: Participating in presentations and assisting with new hire training. At higher levels, guiding and mentoring others to enhance underwriting quality and efficiency.
- Escalation Management: Identifying, communicating, and resolving issues to ensure smooth operations and protect the company's bottom line.
What You'll Need to Be Successful…
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Life Underwriting experience
