A top International Asset Manager based in New York City is looking to bring in an Audit Manager who will perform risk based advisory engagements across portfolio management, trading, and risk management areas to evaluate the internal controls environment. The Manager will assist in the supervision and guidance of the audit staff and be responsible for managing the timely completion of internal audits and other advisory engagements across the firms Real Estate business, ensuring that the engagements and deliverables are risk-based, effective and provide added value to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with and support in-house global team, various portfolio company IA teams and service providers
- Develop risk-based audit plans, SOX programs, risk matrices, time budgets for audit engagements and determine scope and coverage
- Present clear, concise, and constructive findings based on facts, severity and risks, and provide recommendations to the team
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with our stakeholders including clients/ auditees and external audit leads
- Maintain departmental standards and the quality of audit engagements in line with the documented audit procedures (included in the Audit Manual) and the IIA Standards
Qualifications:
- 6+ plus years in supervisory experience in accounting, integrated auditing and internal controls and financial processes and reporting
- Knowledge of data-based auditing techniques (including use of CAATs and sampling methods)
- Excellent analytical, and problem- solving ability
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
