Introductory Paragraph:
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading financial services firm based in the city of Zurich. Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team and drive operations forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations - Oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth delivery of all business lines
Collaborate closely with senior management on strategic initiatives, including expansion into new offices in different geographies
Structured Products- Knowledgeable about structured products including equity derivatives, Structured notes etc.
Cross Asset Sales & Trading - Manage the functioning of cross asset sales and trading teams while identifying new opportunities within existing and new markets
Leadership - manage a team of 5-10 people across middle and back office functions, including settlements.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- At least 10 years' experience required at a high level within finance sector preferably front office roles such as selling or structuring complex derivative transactions;
- Experience dealing directly with institutional clients;
- Proven track record managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously,
- Strong leadership skills along with great analytical abilities are essential;
- Experience dealing with tax related topics;
- Knowledge of other financial hubs outside of Switzerland.
