We are currently working with a regional Hedge Fund in the Asia fixed income market. The firm follows an opportunistic and value-oriented approach, and have invested in a wide spectrum of liquid market sectors, cycles and industries.
They are seeking an Emerging Markets Credit Analyst to join their growing Singapore team. The analyst will work closely with the Portfolio Manager, and will play a pivotal role in the investment decision-making process.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth fundamental analysis on issuers within the Asian emerging markets.
- Perform trading duties.
- Analyse macroeconomic and geopolitical factors impacting credit risk in the region.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to provide insights and recommendations on credit positions.
- Evaluate credit structures and assess potential risks associated with fixed income instruments
- Prepare detailed credit reports and presentations to communicate investment theses to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining and building relationships with external counterparts, including brokers and rating agencies.
Requirements
- Proven experience(8 - 12 years) as a Credit Analyst with a focus on emerging markets within an asset management firm, hedge fund, or financial institution.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets and credit analysis methodologies
- Proficiency in analysing financial statements, credit risk metrics, and qualitative factors
- Expertise in Asian emerging markets, with a deep knowledge of the economic and regulatory landscape
- Demonstrated ability to make sound investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis.
