Selby Jennings is working with a world renown hedge fund that is looking to bring strong FullStack Engineers to their post trade trade team!
YOUR OPPORTUNITY:
- Partner with the industry's top investment professionals, quantitative researchers, and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy solutions that answer fundamental questions about financial markets
- Design and develop our next-gen systems and applications with high performance. New features are rolled out on a weekly basis, target is to get this to daily.
- Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
- Partner with teams to aggressively pursue investment opportunities across all markets.
YOUR SKILLS & TALENTS:
- 5+ years of work experience ideally withing financial services or startups exprience
- Passion for working in a fast paced environment.
- Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
- Proficiency with Java on the backend and react on the front end (80-20 backend - frontend ratio)
- Experienced in distributed system design, with prior ownership to mission-critical systems.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
