Seeking a dedicated Network Operations Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge network designs, routing, switching configurations, and business continuity strategies for both on-premise and Cloud networks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to engineers as they design new routing/switching/connectivity, cloud network, and new infrastructure solutions
- Collaborate on network changes and infrastructure enhancements
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
- Ensure adherence to IT/Security Governance standards
- Uphold rigorous network performance and security standards
- Deliver on-call support as scheduled
- Document network changes, policies, and procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Network Engineering, and operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers/cloud systems
- Expertise in Cisco routing and switching, and Network Time protocol (NTP)
- Proficiency in using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python, and Github
- Cloud infrastructure expertise (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Advanced capabilities in supporting network operations, design, and development
- Proficient in WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, Ethernet
- Extensive knowledge of EIGRP, BGP4, RIP, and OSPF Routing Protocols
- Certifications: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, CCNP or CCDP (preferred), CCIE (preferred)
This role must sit in the firms Chicago office working in a hybrid model of 3 days in office per week.
