I am partnered with a leading hedge fund looking to on board a Quantitative Energy Analyst. The firm specializing in FTR and Nodal trading within markets MISO, PJM, CAISO, SPP, or ERCOT. The role will require the analyst to have a deep understanding of the energy markets. The analyst will need to build fundamental models to assist the portfolio manager. In addition they will need to work day to day with partners to discuss modeling and trends and research.
Responsibilities
- Develop new ways to model factors impacting market fundamentals.
- Research projects that will drive decision making of Portfolio Managers
Requirements
- Research experience in Engineering, math, computer science, physics, or statistics.
- 2-3 years of experience managing or optimizing data sets
- Fundamental knowledge of power systems and power grids.
- Strong programming abilities
- Work well in team environment
