Title: Senior Liability Claims Adjuster
Location: South Carolina or Remote
Responsibilities:
- Confirm coverage as new losses are received
- Work on complex coverage issues
- Adjust cases with large exposures, sometimes potentially with excess exposures
- Manage litigation budgets and strategize with attorneys
- Be present at mediations & trials to represent the organization
- Lead investigations with independent adjusters and attorneys
Qualifications
- Must have Bachelor's degree
- Must have Adjusters license
- Professional insurance designation preferred
- Minimum 7 years adjuster experience in handling bodily injury claims
- Must have worked on claims involving moderate to severe injury
- Experience adjusting Commercial auto claims required (trucking preferred)
- Must have working knowledge of insurance, tort law and litigation terms
- Must know medical terminology and procedures
- Must have worked on litigated claims
- Management or mentoring experience preferred
