Role: VP - Corporate Credit Officer
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Credit Officer to expand their expertise. You will act as a key representative, enhancing credit skills and awareness across the business. With a focus on a large corporate portfolio in Western Europe, you will also gain exposure to the Financial Institutions sector and hold Delegated Credit Authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and structure credit solutions within the bank's risk parameters to meet client needs.
- Ensure disciplined and consistent credit underwriting, identifying key risks.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments on various lending requests, making balanced decisions.
- Proactively identify suitable lending capacities, considering counterparty and sector trends.
- Clearly communicate lending decisions with appropriate terms and conditions.
- Ensure customer needs and impacts are considered throughout the risk assessment process for fair outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively to ensure timely team responses.
Key Requirements:
- Formal banking qualification or equivalent professional experience, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Credit Officer, with expertise in Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance, and Project Finance.
- Experience in managing problem debts.
- In-depth knowledge of mid-corporate and commercial segments, sectors, and lending products.
- Strong understanding of credit policy, economic, legal, regulatory, and sector-specific issues, along with underwriting processes.
- Excellent team collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Italian or French is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet service standards.
